No obligation · nothing starts before you have a written price

The price is the price

Written before anything is opened, and fixed from that moment. Extra work is a separate item you approve or decline.

Evidence, not assurances

Photographs of what was found and what was done, sent the same day, yours to show anyone.

Measured, not guessed

Airflow, static pressure, capacitor values and compressor amps are measured — refrigerant is checked last, not first.

Built for the coast

Stainless caps and breathable coatings, and coil and cabinet corrosion checked, because salt air eats galvanized steel.

Why homeowners call us

Straight Answers, Not a Sales Script

Chimneys, ducts, dryer vents and the inside of a furnace or a condenser are all hidden systems, and almost nobody has a way to judge what a contractor tells them about any of them. So we make it checkable. Every finding is photographed, every price is written down before the work starts, and the things that can be measured — airflow, static pressure, capacitor values, compressor amps, dryer vent airflow, carbon monoxide in the supply air — are measured and written down for you to keep.

The other half of that is telling people what not to buy. A recently serviced duct system does not need cleaning. Fine surface cracking in a sound flue is not a relining job. An air conditioner that will not cool is far more often an airflow or electrical fault than a refrigerant one. Recommending the smaller job — or none at all — costs us an invoice today and is the entire reason this phone keeps ringing.

Specified for salt air

Stainless rather than galvanized on anything that lives on a roof, vapour-permeable masonry treatments rather than film sealers, and coil corrosion checked on every coastal visit.

Refrigerant last, not first

Airflow, electrical values and coil condition are checked before anyone talks about a charge, because that is where the fault usually is.

Permitted and verified

Changeouts are pulled under permit with Title 24 HERS verification, listed as its own line on the quote rather than hidden in it.

One number for the whole house

Chimney, fireplace, ducts, dryer vent, furnace and air conditioning — one phone call instead of three trades.

How it works

From Phone Call to Finished Job

Step 1

Tell us what the house is doing

Not what you think is broken — what you are seeing, hearing or smelling. You get a price range on the phone and a window, usually within a day or two.

Step 2

We measure before we quote

Readings taken, photographs of anything relevant, then a written price. Nothing is opened, replaced or cleaned before you have that price in hand.

Step 3

The work gets done properly

Protection down, the method the standard calls for, the right material rather than the quick one, and the site left clean.

Step 4

You keep the evidence

Before and after readings, the photo set the same day, and an honest note about anything that will want attention later — or confirmation that nothing does.

Questions We Get Every Week

Short answers about price, timing and how the work is done.

How much does chimney sweeping cost in Palos Verdes?
A standard sweep with a Level 1 inspection starts at $169. Hardened creosote, a second flue on the same stack or tile-roof staging add to that, and the figure is confirmed in writing before we begin. Call (310) 237-5009.
How much does AC repair cost?
The diagnostic visit is $89 and it is credited against the repair if you go ahead the same day. Common parts repairs run from about $150 to $500, and compressor or coil work is quoted in writing with a replacement comparison alongside it.
Do you do both chimney work and heating and air conditioning?
Yes, and that is deliberate: the chimney, the flue, the ducts, the dryer vent and the furnace are all the same air system. One company means one visit for an annual check instead of three, and nobody blaming the other trade for what they found.
How much does air duct cleaning cost?
A single system with up to ten registers starts at $279, with extra registers at $18 each and a second system at $219. Adding a dryer vent to the same visit is $89 instead of $109.
Why does my air conditioner need refrigerant every year?
It does not. Refrigerant circulates in a sealed loop and is never consumed, so a system that needs topping up annually has a leak. The right fix is to find and repair the leak and then weigh in a correct charge.
Which cities do you cover?
Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, San Pedro, Torrance, Lomita, Harbor City, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Carson, Gardena, Wilmington, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Long Beach, and the areas in between, worked from Rolling Hills Estates. Each of those has its own page if you want the local detail before calling.
Do I need a permit to replace a furnace or air conditioner in California?
Yes. A changeout needs a city permit, and Title 24 requires third-party HERS verification of duct leakage and refrigerant charge in most cases. We pull the permit and schedule the rater as part of the job.
How soon can somebody get here?
Usually within a day or two, with slots held back for no-heat and no-cool calls during the weeks when those matter. You get a confirmed window at the time of booking, not a vague half-day.
Do I get the price in writing before anything starts?
Always, and it is fixed from that moment. Anything found later is raised as a separate item with its own price and a photograph, and it is yours to approve, defer or decline.
Does a gas fireplace need anything if there is no soot?
Yes — a service rather than a sweep. There is nothing to brush, but the burner, pilot assembly, glass gasket and vent termination all need checking, and terminations within sight of the water corrode and collect debris faster than inland ones.
How often should chimneys, ducts, dryer vents and HVAC equipment be serviced?
As a rule: chimneys once a year, dryer vents once a year, HVAC equipment once a year and twice for a heat pump, and air ducts every three to five years. Heavy use, a renovation or a pest problem shortens those intervals.
Why does living near the water matter for a chimney or a condenser?
Salt air corrodes metal: chimney caps, chase covers, spark arrestors and condenser coils and cabinets all give up years earlier near the coast than inland. That is why we fit stainless steel, use breathable masonry coatings and check coil and cabinet corrosion on coastal jobs.
Do you work on homes with HOA or art jury rules?
Yes. Where an association or an art jury controls the look of anything visible on a roof — a chimney cap, a chase cover, a vent termination — we can supply dark, copper or low-profile finishes that stay within the rules, and it is cheaper to agree the finish before fabrication.
